What started as a simple shop truck quickly spiraled into a full-on build that turned out better than Noah Alexander or anyone at Classic Car Studio ever could've imagined, a showstopper than got more people talking than just about project they've ever undertaken. This ‘66 C10 Chevy pickup, dubbed "Tiffany" because of its original patina, is powered by a turbocharged 346 cubic-inch (5.7L) LS1 that pumped out 460 cubic inches before the team added turbos. It features LS6 aluminum cylinder heads, a set of Holley's all-new
custom-painted aluminum Tall LS Dominator valve covers
, and a complete Holley induction system – a Sniper intake manifold, 105mm throttle body, VR2 brushless fuel pump, and VR Series fuel regulator, all monitored and controlled by a Holley Dominator ECU. The engine is fed by mirror-image 64mm twin turbos situated high in the engine bay so they're impossible to miss and fitted with custom stainless steel piping. It can even run on ethanol with no modifications whatsoever. Built completely in-house at Classic Car Studio in St. Louis, "Tiffany" still has its original work-style bumper, which still has the dealer’s name etched into it. The truck rides on 22-inch steel rims and is absolutely slammed, with a trick self-leveling RideTech air-ride setup that has three different settings. There was no room for the radiator and intercooler in the engine bay anymore, so they moved them to the bed of the truck, which was tubbed and is set off by a unique brass-knuckles imprint in the flawless aluminum work. This so-called "parts hauler" was photographed at Holley LS Fest, where, not surprisingly, it won first place in Classic Truck (pre-'74), by the talented staff at The Block | Chevrolet Performance, who have the complete story and even more photos to drool over
here.
